Twitter started a feature in 2015 called Twitter Moments. We’ll walk you through some of the features, explain how it could help you follow trending conversations, and start your own trends. Twitter Moments grab a lot of attention and headlines. Think about ways you could use a Twitter Moment to tell stories as an influencer.
What is a Twitter Moment?
1. Create Twitter Moments.
When you login to your Twitter, you can create your own Twitter moment.
At the top right of the screen on desktop, click Moments > Create New Moment.
A Twitter Moment is a thread with one topic. For example, you could share a step-by-step experience. Are you packing for a vacation or creating a recipe?
Did you have a wonderful experience with a brand’s product? Did you experience an emotional milestone?
By creating a Twitter Moment, your Twitter followers can follow each of your tweets in one thread.
2. Trending Twitter moments are highly visible.
Twitter Moments are an overview of what’s trending in the entertainment world, sports, technology and more.
According to Twitter Moments guidelines: “Through Moments, millions of people can enjoy the power of Twitter—at the center of a protest, the front row at the Oscars, on the field at the World Cup, or from outer space. What you see on Twitter is what’s happening in the world.”
Look over Twitter Moments if you’d like to engage in trending topics.
Twitter Moments could also spark a blog post idea, podcast topic, vlog or more.

3. Twitter Moments may feature you
According to Twitter Moments: “We review every Moment before featuring it, and will ensure that any Moment featured in the Moments and Explore tabs or from a Moments account meets the overall curatorial standards outlined in this policy. We will also always clearly indicate who curated a Moment.”
One of your individual tweets or series of tweets may grab attention from the Twitter Moments team and be highlighted to get the attention of users.
4. Twitter Moments has its own handle.
To see what’s trending across the world, visit @TwitterMoments.
“Moments is designed to help people find great content on Twitter. Our own curators do not act as reporters or creators of original content; instead, they organize and present compelling content that already exists on Twitter in a straightforward, easy-to-consume way.”
