Users: Instagram continues to dominate the marketing space. eMarketer estimates users spend an average of almost 30 minutes a day on Instagram. Instagram user growth is predicted to grow with close to 13 percent of the worldwide population using the app by 2022.
Captions: One of the most interesting trends you’ll notice for Instagram in 2020 is caption length. Influencers are seeing growing engagement when they share a photo on Instagram along with more long-format captions of 60 or more words. Think of it as micro-blogging. Have you tried longer captions on your Instagram posts?
Are you relying more on captions or hashtags to grow your following on Instagram?
We asked our followers on The Network Niche Instagram profile to share their intentional or inspirational word for 2020:
IGTV: Expect to see more video shows and video series on IGTV, the standalone app. IGTV videos still appear in your Instagram feed and Instagram profile.
IGTV can be even more of a draw if you don’t have the “swipe up feature” to link back to your blog if you have fewer than 10,000 followers. IGTV provides the ability to add links, keywords and hashtags in its description box.
