Check Out These One Page Media Kit Samples

Every influencer or blogger will one day get an email from a brand or public relations representative requesting a media kit. This can either position you to begin a conversation about a partnership because your media kit is ready OR paralyze you with fear because you haven’t created a media kit.  In case you don’t know, a media kit gives an agency or brand a visual description of your blog. Keep reading for a breakdown of what to include in a one page media kit along with samples and ways to create one yourself.

What to Include in a One Page Media Kit

Blog Name – Display your blog’s header image or a photo collage on your media kit and include your blog’s name.

About Blogger – Describe yourself, your background, your family and interests. What are your strengths? Are you an author? Where have you traveled? Where are your speaking or presenting soon?

Head Shot – Let the brand see a professional head shot.

Contact Information – List your email address, social media channels, Skype name or phone number.

Social Media Stats – Use a list or icons with the latest statistics on your social media following.

Page Views – Go into your blog’s Google Analytics or traffic plugin to look at your page views. Some networks  or agencies request daily, monthly or unique page views.

Brand Partnerships  – List the names or logos for the brands your partnered with or featured on your blog.

Audience/Demographics – What is your target demographic? Have you conducted an audience survey to gauge your reader’s age, area, income, etc. Some analytics tools will provide this data for you. Try compete.com for a sampling of your audience.

Alexa, Page Rank, Klout Score – What is your blog’s score on these social ranking sites?

Community Member Jana Seitzer of MerlotMommy.com also designs media kits and blogger business cards. She says a one page media kit is simple: “your critical information should be accessible in a snapshot. Tell your story succinctly.”
